How to Play

Krusen for Diamonds is an app-based scavenger hunt that takes place in downtown St. Cloud. You'll need to download a specific app (directions will be emailed to registered participants in September).

When the game starts, you'll see a list of challenges around the Downtown St. Cloud area.

There will be an example of the task that needs to be completed attached to each challenge in the app. The object is to finish as many challenges as you can within the 90-minute game time. The Team with the most points in 90 minutes wins. J. F. Kruse staff will manually verify the challenge submissions for the top teams to ensure they're correct and accurate.

The game will officially end and the app will terminate the game at 11:30 am. We'll meet back at Lake George Park to visit with other participants and enjoy refreshments while the J. F. Kruse team reviews and validates the results.

BY REGISTERING, I ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN ANY/ALL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH J.F. KRUSE JEWELERS, INC.

In consideration of my participating in this activity, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns to release J. F. Kruse Jewelers, Inc., its employees, its agents and sponsors, its volunteers, and any owned, loaned or leased facilities from any personal injuries or damages caused by or resulting from participating in this activity. I understand that this release applies to any present or future injuries.

I acknowledge that this activity may involve a test of a person's physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular operation and traffic, lack of hydration, and actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, monitors, and/or producers of the activity. These risks are not only inherent to participants, but are also present for volunteers.

I understand while participating in this activity, I may be videoed and/or photographed. I agree to allow my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the activity holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns. The Accident Waiver and Release Form shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.

I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.

Each participant is required to sign a copy of this waiver in order to be eligible to play the Kruse’n for Diamonds contest on September 30, 2023.

FAQs

What happens if there's bad weather?

Krusen for Diamonds will be played rain or shine! In the event of severe weather, we'll push the event to start at noon on Sept 30. If we still need to postpone, we'll push the game to no later than 3 pm.

We'll notify participants via email by 7 am on September 30 if we need to push the time of the event due to weather. If you do not receive an email, the event is still on for the original time.

What do I need to bring?

The most important thing to bring is your phone, since the app is required to play the Krusen for Diamonds game.

Can I do it by myself without a partner?

Sorry, the game is designed for teams of two.

Do I have to be present at the after-party to win?

The team with the most challenge points will be announced at noon after we validate their challenge completions. You do not have to be present to win.

How do I know if my team is winning?

During the game, you'll only be able to see your own challenge points, not the points of other teams. After the game, the app team will verify challenge completions to determine the winning team.

What if I have to withdraw before the event?
